I was on maternity leave from my career in the UK and keen to get back into learning, using my brain again and perhaps a new career opportunity. My life had changed quite dramatically since moving to Thailand and having my first child. I called into Web Courses Bangkok one afternoon, with baby on hip and immediately was welcomed and put at ease.
Carl’s enthusiasm for web designing is infectious! I felt instantly that this was something I could do, even though I didn’t understand most of the terms he used! He completely took on board my concerns at being completely new to web designing, HTML, Photoshop etc and within the first few weeks of the Beginners Course, he had completely sussed out my strengths and weaknesses and therefore supported me accordingly.
I was nervous attending the first lesson, but Carl had a great way of making everyone feel at ease, usually prompted by a joke (think Christmas cracker jokes!). What I was not expecting when I signed up to the Beginners Course was the additional information at ones disposal outside of the classes; it is extensive. I do not know anywhere else that would provide a student with so much background information on websites, styles, fonts, trends and online tutorials.
I cannot believe how quickly I have gone from being absolutely clueless when it comes to Web Design, to now having made a basic website.Clarissa McVey
Web Designing is such a fantastically useful skill, particularly in these times of economic down turn. I would recommend this course to anyone, regardless of ability. Carl is a great people person and very intuitive, therefore he’ll still challenge you if you are a web design whizz and support if you take the class at a slower pace.
Web Courses is certainly a rare find.
