Overview
AI Automation & Agents is a part-time evening group course for beginners to intermediates who have taken Generative AI for Work or used AI before: 5 lessons over 3 weeks, with 3-hour classes from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, live in Bangkok or live online. You build one working AI automation from your own work. It costs 34,560 baht with a 10,000 baht deposit, and the next group starts on 16 March 2027.
- Find the tasks genuinely worth automating, and map their triggers, inputs, decisions, actions and outputs before touching a tool
- Build multi-step workflows in a visual automation platform and add AI for classification, extraction, summarising and drafting
- Design simple tool-using AI agents, with human approval points, error handling and documentation someone else can maintain

Is this course for you?
For people who look at a repeated process and think: surely I should not still be doing all of this manually.
AI becomes much more useful when it moves beyond a chat window. A customer enquiry can be classified automatically. A meeting transcript can become actions. A request can trigger research, create a first draft and wait for a human to approve it.
You do not need to be a programmer. You do need to be comfortable thinking through a process step by step.
Particularly useful for: operations teams, marketers, small business owners, consultants, product managers, team leads, sales and customer-service teams, freelancers, and anyone responsible for internal processes.
What can I do after this course?
You will leave with one working automation built from your own work, with a clear trigger, connected tools, an AI step that earns its place, human approval and error handling.

Pick the right work to automate
Weigh frequency against value, separate rule-based work from judgement work, and estimate whether an automation is worth building before spending days on it.

Build workflows with AI inside
Connect services with triggers, filters, branches and webhooks, and add AI steps with structured output so unpredictable prose never breaks the workflow.

Agents without the hype
Learn when AI should choose its own actions and when five known steps are simpler and better, then build a constrained agent with sensible permissions.
What you will learn
Five live 3-hour sessions: map, connect, add AI, add agent behaviour, then test and control.
Session 1: Find the right thing to automate
- What makes a good automation candidate: frequency versus value
- Rule-based work, language and judgement work, and human decisions
- Mapping the current process: triggers, inputs, actions and outputs
- Bottlenecks and handoffs
- Whether it is worth building, and where automation creates new risks
Exercise: map a repetitive process from start to finish before touching an automation tool.
Session 2: Build your first connected workflow
- How visual automation platforms work: triggers, actions, filters and branches
- Variables, fields and structured data
- Connecting common workplace tools and scheduling
- Webhooks in plain English, credentials and account permissions
- Testing each step separately
Exercise: build a multi-step workflow that moves real information between at least two services.
Session 3: Put AI inside the workflow
- Classification, information extraction and summarisation
- Rewriting and drafting
- Structured AI output and routing based on it
- Supplying context and working with reference material
- Confidence, uncertainty and human review
Exercise: add an AI decision or transformation step and test it against several different inputs.
Session 4: From workflow to agent
- Automation versus agent: goals, tools, context and memory
- Loops, planning and tool selection
- Permissions and human-in-the-loop design
- When an agent is unnecessary, and simple agent patterns
Exercise: create a constrained agent that chooses between a small set of tools or actions to complete a defined task.
Session 5: Make it safe enough to use
- Failure states, invalid data, timeouts and duplicate actions
- Logging, error paths, notifications and manual fallback
- Sensitive information, prompt injection awareness, least-access permissions
- Cost control, monitoring, documentation and maintenance when a tool changes
Final project: one automation from your real work, for example enquiry to classification to draft reply to human approval, or meeting transcript to decisions to assigned tasks. It needs a clear trigger, at least two connected systems, an AI step that adds real value, human approval where appropriate, error handling and documentation.
AI agents without the hype
An agent is not automatically better than a workflow. If a process has five known steps, build five known steps. Use more agentic behaviour when the system genuinely needs to choose between actions, search for information or adapt its route to reach a goal. Learning the difference saves a surprising amount of unnecessary complexity.
How we teach
You work on a real process from your own work wherever possible. We use visual tools for most of the course; you will meet ideas such as APIs, webhooks and JSON, explained through the task.
AI tools change quickly. We review the teaching stack before each cohort; it typically includes n8n, Make, Zapier, the ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini APIs or connectors, and Google Workspace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to code?
No. We use visual tools for most of the course. You will meet technical ideas such as APIs, webhooks and JSON, but we explain them through the practical task.
Is this an n8n course?
n8n may be one of the main tools, but the course is about workflow and agent design. The principles also apply to Make, Zapier and future automation platforms.
How is this different from Generative AI for Work?
Generative AI for Work is about using AI well as a person. This course connects AI to repeatable processes that run with less manual input. We recommend taking it first, or having similar practical AI experience.
Can we use our company systems?
For private company training we can adapt the examples around your approved systems and security policies.
Will we use APIs?
Yes, where useful, but you do not need prior API experience.
Is this an in-person or online course?
Both. Classes run live at our training centre in Bangkok, and you can also join live online through Zoom.
Do we get a certificate at the end?
Yes, you will receive a WCB certificate of completion.
