Is this course for you?
For people who lead teams or products and need to know what should actually change on Monday morning.
Managers do not need to become machine-learning engineers. They do need to understand enough about AI to make good decisions about work, people, products, risk and investment.
Some teams ban useful tools because they are afraid of what might happen. Others buy AI products before they have identified a real problem. Employees quietly create their own shortcuts. This course brings the conversation back to work. It is not an executive lecture full of trend charts: you will leave with a plan for actual work.
Designed for: team leads, department heads, product managers and product leaders, operations leaders, business owners, project and programme managers, marketing or design leaders, HR and L&D leaders, and senior individual contributors introducing AI into a team.
What can I do after this course?
You will leave with a realistic 90-day AI adoption plan for a real team or business area: current state, three priority opportunities, one immediate pilot, a capability plan and simple governance.

Start with the work
Map friction, repeated work and handoffs in your team, then shortlist the AI opportunities worth investigating first by value, feasibility and risk.

Run a proper pilot
Turn one use case into a pilot with an owner, a baseline, a workflow, human review and success and failure measures, ending in a clear go, change or stop decision.

People and governance
Plan adoption for enthusiastic, cautious and reluctant people, and write a one-page team AI working agreement that people might actually read.
What you will learn
Three live 3-hour sessions, built around your own team’s work. Also available as a private company workshop.
Session 1: Understand the change, find the opportunities
- What generative AI does well today, and where it remains unreliable
- AI assistance, automation, agents and AI inside products; build versus buy
- Common leadership misconceptions and hidden employee AI use
- Why a new tool does not automatically create productivity
- Workflow mapping: friction, repeated work, information retrieval, decision support
- Prioritising by value, feasibility, risk and human judgement
Exercise: map where AI already touches your team’s work, officially or not, and shortlist the three use cases worth investigating first.
Session 2: Turn a use case into a pilot
- Problem statement, current baseline and desired outcome
- Scope, pilot owner and tool selection
- Workflow design and human review
- Data and privacy questions
- Success measures, failure measures, user feedback and pilot length
- Go, change or stop decisions
Exercise: turn one shortlisted opportunity into a pilot canvas that could actually be approved and started.
Session 3: People, governance and your 90-day plan
- Different levels of AI confidence, fear, scepticism and overconfidence
- Shadow AI, training, shared patterns, champions and manager behaviour
- Making experimentation safe, and avoiding “everyone must use AI” theatre
- Sensitive and personal data, intellectual property and client confidentiality
- Approval, accountability, source checking and high-impact decisions
- Tool permissions and vendor review questions
Final project: your 90-day AI adoption plan: current state, three priority opportunities, one immediate pilot, a capability plan, governance (what is allowed, what needs approval, what must not go into AI systems) and a 30 / 60 / 90-day roadmap.
A note for product leaders
AI is not only changing how your team works. It creates new product possibilities and new interaction risks. Where relevant we also cover whether AI belongs in the customer experience at all, copilot versus automation versus autonomous action, designing human approval, AI failure states, trust, cost-to-serve, product experimentation, and measuring whether AI improves the customer outcome rather than just the feature count.
Private leadership workshops
This course is particularly well suited to private company delivery using your real workflows and policies. For a senior leadership team we spend less time on tool use and more on opportunity, governance, organisational change and portfolio decisions.
