This week I came across some very interesting websites. Some of the products and agencies I have heard of before, while some of them are just completely new to me,  but the designs of their sites are very artistic and beautiful!

1) About Jana:

www.jana-water.com/en

Jana is a famous mineral water company, I am sure everyone must have heard about them. I was very impressed by how they showed the depth of the earth, how they explain the layers of the earth and the extraction mineral water. Their page marketing strategy is also remarkable, they show how important water it is to keep our skins fresh and young. It is also a stress detoxifying agent rather than just a basic thirst quenching drink. Jana’s web page won the CSS Web Design Award for their website on the 21st March, 2013.

2) Flash vs HTML:

www.flashvhtml.com

Flash VS HTML5 was designed by Waste Creative and won the CSS Web Design Award of the day on 12th March 2013. This site is aimed to find out which platform is better for gaming or web-browsing. The site uses the classic alien invasion game for just that purpose. The game can be played in both Flash and HTML5, the purpose is to compare which of the platform performs better. The developers for this site also show a statistic research and a conclusion. The game can also be played on the mobile browser and is available as a standalone game app on the Apple App Store.

3) Station:

http://station.ch

Station is a Swiss digital communication agency from Switzerland. It illustrates the creative use of technology and innovation through its playful minimalistic design. Their website was featured as Awwwards “Site of the Day” on the 29th March 2013. Station’s webpage is neat and minimal with a simple white background. The site looks very soothing.

4) Andrevv:

www.andrevv.com

Andrew McCarthy is a product designer at Gidsy. His site has been nominated for Awwwards Site of the day. It’s a single page website with infinite scroll. As you scroll down, the page shows a black cat running in the middle of the page while simultaneously changing the background colour . I really liked the way he imagined and executed the website.
