Sharing is caring

Sunday was a great day for us as a company as we got to see how we have helped the disabled children of Camillian Care Home through our years of support. It seems just moments ago we created their website and then logo and through using skills we take for granted we get to help others and that is an awesome feeling.

We arrived around 2pm to a bustling and vibrant atmosphere. One great thing was that there were many new faces so the outreach has increased and will hopefully result in more sponsors to help these amazing kids who need our support.

Taya, our director, was visiting for the first time and it was nice to see how she appreciated the teams hard work even more now she saw where it was helping.

We had a nice tour of the home and saw some of the donations companies from all around the world. Things ranging from entire swimming pools to help the severely disabled kids to play areas to help lift their spirits. It made me realise that the work at Camillian Home is not just about care but also giving the kids a life worth living. You can see in all their faces a sense of peace and happiness and the passion of Faisal and his team is immediately apparent as you hear them speak about the work they do.

Time for music! Not only did we have great food from one of my favourite restaurants Nadimos we had a fantastic live band!

“Playing for a good cause. Pleasure to be a small part of making a difference. It felt apt playing my song ‘Sweet Life’. For those who have it, share it. ” – MissJolanda

Stunning Mural from an old friend of Web Courses

Walking around I spotted a name I remember well and a past student of ours. Karma Sirikogar is an amazing artist and about 3 years ago took one of our WordPress courses. It was lovely to see her work there and how so many talented people are supporting the home in their own speacial way.

A Favour For a Friend

How did we choose Camillian Care Home as our main charity? Well it all started with a personal friend Faisal. His passion for helping these kids has inspired me since I first met him over 5 years ago.

You can see him next to his beautiful fiancé Yvonne at one of the funny stands and I have to say mate you are one of the main sources of inspiration to help others when I can.

How We Try to Help

For almost 3 years now we supported the home with their online endeavours. This started by creating them an easy to manage website. originally using Joomla, which we will soon re-design to give it a more modern look and show people how they can support the home through donations, volunteering or helping raise awareness.

Late we helped re-design their logo and it was an absolute pleasure to see it flying high and proud around the grounds as well as on all their brochures and posters.

How You Can Help

donate to disabled children

On the day I signed up for the second year to support a child for just 500 baht per month. That is like two drinks over here in Bangkok so I think I can do without two gin tonics knowing that that money will help a child with disabilities and or HIV/AIDS live a better life.

You can do the same! So please click on this link and swap a few beers for the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you help someone in need.
